Only a two-hour flight from Reykjavik will take us to Greenland's beautiful East Coast, home of theAmmassalik Inuit.
Kulusuk is the gateway to East Greenland and the small settlement is an excellent introduction to the way of life in a
settlement in the Ammassalik area. Kulusuk lies on a small rocky islandbetween saw-toothed mountains and extensive fjords, and it is almost always surrounded by
icebergs and a glittering Arctic Ocean.
In Kulusuk you will find some of the east coast's most skilful craftsmen,
whosetupilaks are of exceptional quality. Traditional hunting and fishing are still essential sources of income for many families in the settlement.
Huge glaciers and floating icebergs
You will be escorted the short distance from the airport to the engaging village Kulusuk where you can stroll about and meet some of the 360 local residents and view their
quality crafts.
Weather permitting, we'll be treated to kayaking demonstrations and an ancient drum dancereflective of the
indigenous culture.
On our return flight to Reykjavik we enjoy
aspectacular view over huge glaciers and floating icebergs (we recommend travelers to wear good walking boots).

The Iceberg Town
Ilulissat (Jakobshavn), in the north of Greenland, has become one of Greenland's biggest tourist destinations with its awe-inspiring scenery and dramatic sounds of glaciers breakingoff into the sea.The 56 km long Ilulissat Icefjord that is filled with enormous icebergs from the most productive glacier in the northern hemisphere, Sermeq Kujalleq, is locatedin the center of Disco Bay and is on UNESCO's World Heritage List.
Just a couple of kilometres from Ilulissat the idyllicSermermiut valley lies out towards the ice fjord.
