Immerse yourself in the magic of Winter at 66° North: white-blanketed nature conveys calmness and harmony, while giving space for enjoyable activities.

Experience the quietest time of the year in Iceland and enjoy the wonderful winter activities. The sun casts its golden light over the flat snowy landscape and at night often the Northern Lights are dancing across the sky - it's an enchanted world of silence which radiates at a great deal of power. Sunday: Individual arrival in Akureyri
Depending on your arrival, you can relax in the accomodation, or perhaps enjoy a first visit to the swimming pool of Akureyri, with its three different "heitir pottur" (= hot pots) and a steam bath. In the evening, we invite you to take a short city tour to show you your home for the next week. As an introduction to our time together we welcome you here in the North with a dinner in a retro restaurant.

Monday: Yoga in the mountains of the Trolls
In the morning we start out with a yoga session at our new Yoga & SPA centre.
Then we drive north to Tröllaskagi, the peninsula of the trolls. Here we turn into one of the most beautiful valleys in the North: the Svarfašadalur. We drive far into this world of mountains until we reach the old farm, Skeiš, shortly before the end of the valley. This time of year the valley is usually dipped in a thick winter dress and it almost looks like the mountains are covered with cream.
Our hostess Myriam welcomes us in her cozy renovated barn with a wonderful Icelandic lamb lunch alongside with other local delicacies. (vegetarian option available).
Afterwards we snowshoe through the idyllic valley up to a small mountain lake. We might do some yoga in the quietude amongst magnificent pyramid mountains.

Tuesday: The power of sleddogs
In the morning we start out with a yoga session at our new Yoga & SPA centre.
We are going to have lunch at our retro café/restaurant in Akureyri
In the afternoon you have the opportunity to meet our charming huskies and malamutes and have an experience of dogsledding. Everyone must try it, for some of our participants it is an experience of a life time. After the doglsedding & time spent with our dogs, we gonna soak in our SPA and relax in our swinging SPA lounges.

Wednesday: Yoga on hot ground
In the morning we start out with a yoga session at our new Yoga & SPA centre. We have then lunch in town.
Afterwards we begin our journey to one of the most exciting areas of Iceland: Lake Mżvatn. Here we experience the fantastic world within an active volcanic area with its hot springs and the steaming and bubbling mud pools. Our first stop is at Gošafoss, the waterfall of the gods. Shortly after we reach Mżvatn. We explore the diverse landscapes on different short hikes: the pseudocraters of Skśtustašir, the mystical Lava towers in Dimmuborgir and the geothermal area at Nįmaskarš.
Then it's time to relax in the wonderful warm water of the  Nature Baths, the 'Blue Lagoon' of the North Let yourself be enchanted with the breathtaking landscape.
With clear skies and cold temperatures, we have a very good chance to experience the dance of the Northern Lights on our way back to Akureyri

Thursday: Yoga on the island - a powerful spot!
In the morning we start out with a yoga session at our new Yoga & SPA centre.
We are going to have lunch at our retro café/restaurant in Akureyri.
Then we head out for a new adventure. We drive along the west coast of Eyjafjöršur to the north before we reach the Sęvar ferry. This ferry takes us to the small island Hrķsey located in the fjord. A short walk takes us to a spectacular view point. This place is considered as one of the most energetic spots in Iceland- a perfect location to rest and enjoy a yoga unit. Then we snowshoe onward across the island and marvel the amazing views. Back to the village we soak in the warm local pool. For the more corageous one, a jump into the sea is just a step away!

Friday: A farewell with panorama
In the morning we start out with a yoga session at our new Yoga & SPA centre.
After a warm soup at our centre we leave for a last snowshoe hike straight from the Yoga & SPA centre. We gradually gain height on the eastern shore of the fjord and then once again opens up a wide view over the Eyjarfjöršur: a good point in time to say farewell to the North of Iceland. We then will bring you back to Akureyri where you can enjoy the charming town before departing back to Reykjavik.

You will live in our or partner apartments in Akureyri and enjoy a great deal of comfort. You have access to the private hot tub.
Our apartments offer double rooms and single if available.

The yoga units are led by Ulrica. Learn more about Ulrica and her style of yoga.
The daily yoga units take 1.5 hours to 2 hours and take place in our Yoga & SPA centre. If the weather is favourable a part of the yoga unit is practiced outside on our tours. (the outdoor practice is 20 to 30 Min)

The hikes go through the diverse landscapes in North Iceland. The duration varies between 1 to 3 hours and are always at a technically simple level. A guide will accompany you on all tours.

Breakfast can be prepared in the well equipped kitchen in each apartment. You need to bring along a packed lunch/sandwich/snack on the Myvatn day . The offered meals are all in genius places.

We offer all transport for the programm, starting with the pickup at Akureyri airport.

Starting with pickup at Akureyri airport (16:55 and 19:40) or at the Straeto busstop (15:30).

- Daily 2 yoga sessions: a yoga session in the morning in the modern Yoga Studio and afternoon yoga in the middle of Icelandic nature (depending on the excursion and the weather)
- 5 nights accommodation (in shared double or single room with extra charge) in modern and charming apartments, within walking distance to the most beautiful corners of the small town Akureyri. The apartments have their own outdoor jacuzzi in the garden
- Encounter with huskies and a guided dogsledding tour
- Excursion to the island of Hrisey "Pearl of the North" with an experienced guide, a nature reserve in Northern Iceland, including ferry ticket as well as entrance to the swimming pool
- Tour to the famous Myvatn area (including visit at the famous Gošafoss waterfall) with an experienced guide, including admission to the "Myvatn Nature Baths"
- Excursion to Tröllaskagi, the "Troll Mountains", with an experienced guide
- Excursion to the famous Gošafoss waterfall
- Guided snowshoe hike
- Towels and linen
- Use of private outdoor Jacuzzi in the apartments
- 1x access to the spa area of ​​the Yoga Studio including towels (sauna, spa, relaxation area, outdoor jacuzzi, teas, water)
